MSA to hold Soccer Divisions  Summitt

August 28, 2010 is set for the date for a Summit on Soccer Divisions in  Mississippi.
Sign up here to let us know you are coming!

Club Presidents are invited to attend and bring their Division I, II and III Directors and Coaching Directors to be involved in a working group to begin a revamp of the MSA playing Divisions. The Meeting will be held at the Hilton Hotel on County Line Road Meeting Room in Jackson at 9:00 AM, break for lunch and conclude at 4:00 PM.


Soccer America Women's Preseason All-Americans

Ali Hawkins, who won her third national championship with North Carolina in 2009, and teammate Rachel Givan are among 25 women named Soccer America's Preseason All- Americans. Stanford, ranked No. 1 in Soccer America's Preseason Top 25, led all teams with three players on the preseason team: sophomore defenders Alina Garciamendez and Rachel Quon and senior Christen Press. MSA just completed our first full week of Region Camp with the Boys at the University of Alabama and the Girls at the Univ. of Montevallo and put players on the Regional Pool.

For the first week of camp we had 15 total players who made the Region Pool:

95 Girls had 3 players selected:   
Hailey Brohaugh, Kat Stratton and McKenzie Adams


94 Boys had 5 players selected:  
Corey Carter, Matthew Oneal, Marlon Hairston, Zahir Bracey and Carlos Zamarripa

95 Boys had 6 players selected:
Nick Bracey, Hayden Cochran, Marcus Epps, Tyler Germany, Kit Huddleston and Sina Mofidi

96 Boys had one player selected:
Zack Bailey
